Excellent location ..couldn’t be more central. Staff were really warm and welcoming without exception. Couldn’t do enough for guests. Car space included which was well organised with a dedicated space for the duration of our stay. Room very good facilities, coffee, selection of teas. A nice touch was the fresh milk in the fridge with complementary water, mini bar, tv with sky, comfortable bed, lovely view and very clean. Bathroom was excellent, big bath and amazing shower…spotless. Breakfast really nice, had a very good vegetarian breakfast as well as a lovely full English. The bread was delicious . Fresh fruit juices . Just very good. Room service was also very fast and efficient. Restaurant is also excellent , had dinner on first night and couldn’t fault it.

I went to Exeter College and hadn't been back to Oxford in 20 years. I came for a visit with my wife and decided to stay at Old Bank on High St with my wife as a treat (celebrating her birthday). I had walked by the hotel many times as a student but never went in. It was fantastic--highly recommended. Many things we liked: staff was prompt, professional, friendly, checked us in early and promptly, upgraded us for wife's birthday and left nice card and cakes for her in the room, beautiful artwork throughout property, nice restaurant and bar, very comfortable, had an amazing view of the Radcliffe Camera, even lent us electrical converters.

The hotel was immaculate, you can see how through the staff look after each corner of the hotel. It is modern, rooms are specious, the built in wardrobe has got space to fit all clothes and shoes etc. it was quiet all day long so you can rest at any time of the day. The food at the restaurant is of high quality, very tasty, very fresh. It is between 5-10 min at all famous colleges and museums and shopping area. No taxi needed. The staff cannot do enough to accommodate any request of the guests. I felt like I was at home and did not want to leave at the end of my stay.

Marina

Lovely hotel, beautiful building, welcoming staff, room was fab overlooking High Street and views up towards the Bodleian Library, have breakfast in courtyard then pop across the road and explore the colleges - location could not be better. Only word of advice make sure you read the website for directions for parking before you set off and if your vehicle is big its a tight squeeze to get into the parking area from Magpie Lane.

Ian

The location can't be beat, the service overall is really 5 star (they even called us before the stay and before check out to let us know there were road closures), the room is not too big but comfortable and clean, the food at Quod is decent and is room service, really beautiful hotel with beautiful paintings. We found our Oxford go-to hotel!
